Our Sustainability & Energy team are looking for a Energy Engineer/Modeler to be based in either Dubai or Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform building energy performance analysis through energy modelling to optimise architectural, mechanical, and electrical designs for green building design and compliance requirements.
- Conduct climate analysis and bioclimatic analysis (such as sun-path analysis, solar insolation analysis, wind analysis, daylight & glare analysis) and recommend strategies/measures/KPIs to optimize the building design from the environmental perspective.
- Conduct necessary calculations and simulations for Green Building Projects such as HVAC/ACMV system efficiency, lighting power density, ETTV/OTTV, energy simulations etc.
- Perform CFD simulations for airflow analysis for indoor/outdoor thermal comfort, Wind-driven rain, pedestrian wind comfort etc.
- Perform feasibility study of wind/solar/hydro energy generation potential at building or development/masterplan level.
- Assist senior engineers in design and development of energy and sustainability projects that includes renewables/distributed energy generation, energy storage solutions etc.
- Research and analyze relevant industry and technological trends to formulate strategies.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Science etc.)
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in relevant industry.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, IES-VE Software applications (ApacheHVAC, Radiance, MicroFlo)/DesignBuilder/eQUEST/EnergyPlus, Renewable energy analysis tools (solar, wind, thermal etc.) – PVsyst/SAM etc. and other relevant computer simulation tools.
- Good technical knowledge of building physics and renewable energy.
- Good knowledge of Green Building standards such as Green Mark, LEED, WELL, GBI, Living Future etc.
- Experience related to Life Cycle Assessment will be highly evaluated.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Able to review, understand and interpret design and construction documentation, including floor plans, engineering schematics and schedules, specifications, shop drawings and operating sequences.
