Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management for engineering projects. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to ensure successful and optimized project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from the plan.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to management.
- Implement and manage cost control systems to track project budgets and expenditures.
- Preparation of project review documentation, Cost-to-Complete reviews, developing templates if required.
- Analysis of Resource Deployment schedule.
- Supporting PMs on CTC Projections, Client and Subconsultant invoicing etc.
- Preparing / developing dashboards and using internal ERP or PowerApps
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Analyze project data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) would be a great asset
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), Certified Scheduling Professional (CSP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project controls within the engineering or construction industry.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)is a great additional asset
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCP) is highly desirable.
- Experience working on large-scale multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
